Eşref Apak was born in1982 in Ankara. He is a Turkish hammer thrower.
Apak took part at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens2004 Summer Olympics and won a surprising bronze medal with mbronze medal after the gold medalist Hungarian athlete Adrián AnnusHungarianAdrián Annus was disqualified by IOC for a doping violation.IOCdoping
In 2005 Apak participated at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería2005 Mediterranean Games and won the gold medal with his throw of metres.
His personal best performance, and Turkish record, is metres set on 4 June 2005 at the Cezmi Or Memorial Games.
