The film Metin Erksan's village truth telling '' Dry Summer'' (1964) , won the Berlin Film Festival award winning international recognition of Turkish cinema has become the first Turkish film. Metin Erksan’ın köy gerçeklerini anlatan “Susuz Yaz” (1964) adlı filmi, Berlin Film Festivali’nde kazandığı ödülle Türk sinemasına uluslararası platformda başarı kazandıran ilk Türk filmi olmuştur.
