Tıbbi cihazlar için sterilizatörler Durum: Atherton’un sterilizatörlerde kullandığı paneller güncelliğini kaybetmeye başlamış ve kullanıcı isteklerine cevap veremez olmuştu. Çözüm: Atherton üretim hattını güçlendirmek için Exter operatör panellerini seçti ve panellerin rekabetçi üstünlüğünden yararlandı. EXTER T100, EXTER T70, EXTER T40 Sonuç: Exter ile Atherton, ürün sunumunu çok daha kullanıcı dostu, çok daha berrak hale getirdi ve panellerin uzaktan erişim avantajını kullanmaya başladı. Durum: İşini daha rasyonel yapmak, güvenliği arttırmak ve üretim verimliliğini maksimize etmek için AstraZeneca İsveç, ana fabrikaları olan Södertälje bölgesinde pek çok değişik otomasyon projesine başladı. Çözüm: Fabrika içindeki tüm prosesleri görüntülemek için AstraZeneca EXTER dokunmatik panel serisini seçti. AstraZeneca is one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, with 27 manufacturing sites in 19 countries. The company has over 66,000 employees worldwide and sales in 2006 total $26.5 billion. Sweden Operations is AstraZeneca’s largest manufacturing unit with a main location in Södertälje, Sweden. The case story CSEN111 presents two of the automation projects currently running at the Södertälje site. In both cases AstraZeneca Sweden Operations chose Beijer Electronics and its EXTER series HMI panels to optimize process control, data collection and monitoring capability in the plant. Vital operating conditions are supervised in real time, giving the operator absolute and reliable knowledge of all the production parameters. Closed Cycle Mixing The trend in pharmaceuticals is toward the production of small batches of high-potency active ingredients. Although these highly potent compounds are of great benefit to the end users, they impose risks, from exposure, for the manufacturing personnel. These materials may be toxic or carcinogenic, even in very small quantities. Pharmaceutical companies well aware of the liabilities involved are therefore increasingly looking to incorporate closed systems into their chemical management solutions. Closed cycle for increased safety When dealing with hazardous processes the safety of personnel and plant equipment are of utmost importance but it is also important that the safety systems put in place do not themselves compromise the production. At AstraZeneca Sweden Operations’ site in Södertälje, the closed cycle mixing systems are controlled via automation switchboards equipped with the EXTER-series HMI panels from Beijer Electronics. Spheronization process A critical aspect of any successful drug therapy is effective delivery to a patient. Pulmonary drug delivery procedures rely on inhalation of fine powder. In this application, the particle size of the powder is of the utmost importance. The particles must be small enough to adequately penetrate the bronchial area of the lungs. To minimize side effects it is also important that a precisely controlled, small dosage is given. Perfecting the flow Particle size control and precise metering are often made problematic since finely divided powders are light, dusty and cohesive. This combination of properties makes the powder flow poorly, complicating handling, processing and storage, and making it difficult to meter and dispense a precise dosage of the powder. At AstraZeneca Sweden Operations, the flow properties of the powder are improved by automated spheronization. In the spheronisation process the powder is fed through a screw feeder to form agglomerates, and then rolled to small, round particles with excellent handling properties. Durum: WES genellikle küçük işletmelere hizmet veren küçük ve orta ölçekli rüzgar enerji santralleri sunmaktadır. Müşterilerine yeni bir fonksiyon seviyesi sunmak için onlara Exter operatör paneli olan bir kontrol kabini geliştirdi. Çözüm: Rüzgar santralleri yenilenirken WES, kontrol ünitelerini Exter operatör paneli kullanarak imal etti. Wind Energy Solutions (WES) is a Dutch manufacturer of small to medium-sized wind turbines with generator capacities ranging from 2.5 kW to 250 kW. The company’s products are the result of 20 years of evolution in wind turbine technology. WES wind turbines have been installed and are operating in many different locations worldwide. Wind Energy Solutions was established in 2003 by Teamwork Technology, a company specialized in energy solutions for developing countries. Panel, basım fabrikalarında alet ayarı, alarm verme ve parça sayma gibi özelliklere sahip olmalıydı. Çözüm: Sevi kullanıcı arabirimi olarak PWS/H-serisi panelleri seçti. Sonuç: İki sürücü kontrolü, değişik kontrol ekipmanları ile eşzamanlı olarak haberleşmeyi sağladığından kullanılan en önemli özellik oldu. Kullanıcı dostu yazılım değişik basım ihtiyaçlarına karşı üretim hattının kolayca değiştirilebilmesini sağladı. Durum: BIS’ un üç işletmesi için ısıtma sistemi ihtiyacı vardı.Basit bir operasyon için ekonomik bir çözüm arıyorlardı. Çözüm: Nihai kararları dokunmatik 6.5’’ bir Exter panel kullanmak oldu. Sonuç: Kullanıcı değişik parametreleri kolayca görerek gerekli değişiklikleri yine kolayca yapma imkanı buldu. Kritik parametreler için şifre konarak bunların yetkili kişilerce değiştirilmesi sağlandı. İlave olarak kullanım rehberi de sisteme kondu. Panel denizde kullanıma uygun ve tüm teknik ihtiyaçları karşılıyor olmalıydı. Çözüm: Onyx Marine, DNV-sertifikalı EXTER serisi panellerde karar kıldı. Sonuç: EXTER paneller ile Onyx Marine geliştirme sürelerini kısalttı, müşterilerine Exter panellerin eşsiz faydalarını sundu. Yüksek kullanım hızı ve her türlü havada temiz bir görüntü sağladı. Onyx, is an Italian company that offers expertise, electronic components and turnkey systems within marine automation. The company is specialized in motor yacht and luxurious sailing boats, for which they provide control and monitoring solutions for the technical subsystems onboard. Federico Sturlese, technical manager at Onyx Marine emphasizes the importance of the look- and feel and overall quality. The panels should give a nice visual impression and should be easy to operate and run flawlessly. Frederico says: “We evaluated most of the panels available on the market, comparing them against our selection criteria. Aesthetic design, reliability, display visibility, available functions, support, and ease of use of the designer tool were all important factors. The EXTER panels from Beijer Electronics scored the best result”. Typical locations for the operator panels include wheel house, engine room and the crew mess. Federico is looking forward to strengthening the partnership with Beijer Electronics. “We have received great support from both Beijer Electronics and their Italian representative EFA. Çözüm: EXTER panel seçtiler. Sonuç: Tüm Magnum müşterilerinin istediği performans artırma hedeflerine; akış diyagramlarında istisnai çözünürlük, gelişmiş güvenlik seviyeleri ve ayarlanabilir alarmlar ile ulaştılar. İlave olarak panel fonksiyonları ile PLC kodlama işlemlerini de azalttılar. Magnum Engineering & Controls customers sells equipment that is used in wafer manufacturing and chip-making processes. Travis Manning, project manager at Magnus says: “We decided to convert projects from the existing HMI to one from Beijer Electronics to fully test its functionality and configuration software. After the test we were impressed by the user-friendly, intuitive software, called Information Designer. It features a wide selection of ready-made objects and functions that is simple to create applications by just pointing and placing on the screen” Manning also appreciated the possibility to configure applications with the exact same view as the operator will experience. Another time-saving feature is the “off-line simulator”. “Our final decision was based on the level of technical support. Çözüm: Pininfarina Exter T60 ve T70 panelleri seçti. Sonuç: Pininfarina birinci sınıf destek ve back-up gibi panel işlevselliğinin araba üretimi kalite gerekliliğine uygun olduğunu belirtti. Çözüm: Sezgisel Beijer panelleri geminin seyrüsefer ekipmanların ilave bir parçası olarak takıldı. Sonuç: Gemi Çin’e yolculuğunu büyük bir güven ve rahatlıkla gerçekleştirerek törenlerle Göteborg’a döndü. The East Indiaman Götheborg is a replica of the original 18th century vessel of the same name which sank off the coast of Gothenburg, Sweden, on 12 September The ship was almost home, approaching the harbor after returning from her third voyage to the Far East. All officers and crew survived the incident, but unfortunately the ship was lost. The East Indiaman Götheborg of today has a number of things that the original vessel didn’t have, one of which comes in the shape of intuitive HMI from Beijer Electronics. About SOIC AB: Activities and Business Concept SOIC AB was formed in 1993 to manage, keep and develop shipyard, shipbuilding and shipping activities included in The Swedish Ship Götheborg project. The Swedish Ship is built according to the main dimensions to the hull and rig of a Swedish East Indiaman that sank in the inlet of Göteborg harbor in September, The ship is approved for ocean sailing as a research- and school-ship by the Swedish government. Paneller kullanıcının uzmanlık seviyesine bağlı olmamalı, hızlı, güvenilir ve sağlam desteği olmalıydı. Çözüm: Findus Bjuv fabrikasında Beijer panellerden yararlandı. Sonuç: Findus Beijer operatör panellerinin kullanım kolaylığından, sağlamlık ve güvenilirliğinden çok memnun kaldı. Findus fabrikalarında artık Beijer paneller standart üretim prosesinin bir parçası. Findus is a leading international provider of frozen food, involved in both production and retail. Since its beginning, the company has produced a number of innovative frozen food products while growing, producing and marketing frozen foods. Findus operates a production plant in Bjuv, Sweden. The plant provides work for approximately 970 employees, half of whom are directly involved in production, the rest being white-collar workers, mostly in sales and marketing. Findus utilizes a number of Beijer Electronics’ operator panels at the Bjuv production plant. Durum: Paketleme endüstrisi kullandığı makinelerde yenilik ve etkinlik özelliklerine yüksek talep gösterir. Örneğin üretim hattının özel parçalardan dolayı durması hiç istenmez. Çözüm: Platform ve EXTER paneli birlikte Sonuç: KM-Pakkaus kendi proses ve yönetim sistemini standart sistemlerle donattı. Hem teslim süreleri hem de parçadan dolayı bekleme süreleri çok kısaldı. Km-Pakkaus has since 1960 been involved in providing high-quality packaging to meet the exacting demands of the food processing industry. In addition to the domestic markets, they sell their products also to Russia, Baltic's and to the Scandinavian countries. Products: Hot-sealing aluminum lids, grease proof wrappers, ice-cream cone foils, ice-cream wrappers and many other forms of food packaging. Their machine park consists of two large flexo plate production lines and 20 post production machines. Main part of the machines has been tailor made for KM-Pakkaus. Due to many components has been special designed, this has lead to high prices and long delivery time on spare parts. Therefore they have now gradually exchanged all machines with new process- and surveillance systems built on standard components. Each machine is operated by an operator panel. Thanks to the EXTER panel’s recipe feature the machine easily handles the constant change of material required for the production of both packaging and lids in different sizes and shapes. The EXTER T70 panel has since six months back been tested in the production. One feature that has made the EXTER series popular among the punch line operators is the alarm feature. Çözüm: Bir Panel PC küçük formatta bir PC performansı sunduğu için cazip bulundu. Sonuç: Şirket Beijer IPC ile görüntüleme sistemi çıktısında artış ve üst kalite üretimde sürekliliği sağladı. PPTEN015_BE Seminar presentation ROLLS-ROYCE, İNGİLTERE Mobil güç ünitesi. Durum: Fairburn Engineering firması mühendisleri Rolls-Royce firması için bir mobil güç ünitesi geliştirdi. Rolls-Royce bu makineyi İngiliz ordusuna kullandırdı. Çözüm çok dayanıklı olmalıydı zira makine nükleer bomba şokuna bile dayanacak sağlamlıkta olmalıydı. Çözüm: EXTER K70 panel seçildi. Sonuç: EXTER panel test edildi ve geniş sıcaklık skalasında kullanım, çok yüksek vibrasyon ve hatta 3 metreden fırlatılma gibi bu iş için gerekli tüm gereksinimleri karşıladı. EXTER K70 panel artık bu ünitelerin hepsinde data saklama, kullanım talimatları gibi fonksiyonları yerine getiriyor. Mobile power unit Developed for British Army Designed for outdoor use in harsh environments Electrical supplies for communications, medical and other systems Provides data logging, operator instructions, etc. EXTER K70 For another product, Rolls-Royce had bought a solution (from one of our customers) that included a Beijer Electronics terminal (CIMREX brand-label Matsushita/Panasonic). They had a good experience from this, and when EXTER was presented, Rolls-Royce choose it for this new mobile power unit. Customer: Fairburn Engineering in Hull, UK Fairburn engineered this solution for Rolls-Royce, UK. Rolls-Royce leases this machine to the British Army, who uses it and returns it to Rolls-Royce where it is serviced and prepared for the next assignment. In current units, the GK90 D4 panel is used, a brand label version of CIMREX. So far, 1500 units have shipped. The solution withstand the tough demands of the British Army Standard, which includes passing the tough “nuclear bomb” electric chock test – in the first try. Currently, EXTER has been tested and found to fulfill the requirements, which includes large temperature variations and tough vibrations – and a three meter free fall. Paneller aynı zamanda reçeteli olacak ve hamur karışımlarının uygun kıvamda olup olmadığını ölçecekti. Çözüm: EXTER K100 panel. Pågen is one of Sweden’s largest bakeries. With about 1600 employees, Pågen had a revenue of about 200 million euros in At their production lines, they use 120 tons of flour each day. Before, Pågen had used CIMREX panels. Sistem yağlı ortamlarda kullanılabilecek, reçeteli ve pres ile çalışabilecek özellikte olmalıydı. Aynı zamanda data saklama, alarm, farklı güvenlik seviyesi ve kullanıcı talimatları gibi konuları da çözecek bir sistem olmalıydı.
