Everyone, everybody, everywhere, everything Bu sözcükler; kişilerin nesnelerin ya da yerlerin genelinden (tamamından) bahsederken kullanılır ve bitişik yazılırlar. Everyone had a great time in the party. He prepared everything for the meeting. You can find this book everywhere. I know everybody in my class. Yabancı Dil- II

Everyone, everybody, everywhere, everything Tekil fiillerle kullanılırlar. Everybody knows the truth. Everything is ready. We couldn’t get a seat. Everywhere was so crowded. Everyone needs love. Everybody ve everyone aynı anlama gelir. Fakat everyone biraz daha resmidir ve yazı dilinde daha çok tercih edilir. Yabancı Dil- II

Somebody, someone, something, somewhere Somebody ve someone aynı anlama gelir. Someone biraz daha resmidir ve yazı dilinde daha fazla kullanılır. Somebody ise konuşma dilinde daha yaygındır. Bu iki sözcük, cümlenin daha sonraki bölümlerinde bir zamirle tekrar edildiğinde «they» ya da «he or she» şeklinde ifade edilebilir. I saw someone in front of the door. He was a tall man. Nobody, no one, nothing, nowhere Bu sözcükler; «hiç kimse», «hiçbir şey», «hiçbir yer» anlamında kullanılırlar. Anlamları olumsuz olmasına karşın, cümle yapısı olumludur. Tekil fiillerle kullanılırlar. Yabancı Dil- II

Nobody, no one, nothing, nowhere Not + anybody/ anyone = nobody/ no one I haven’t got anybody to talk to. = I have got nobody to talk to.
