1 SUPERLATİVES .Süperlativelerde en az 3 şeyi karşılaştırılır. .Süperlativelerde sıfatın önüne 'the'eki getirilir. 1-Tek Heceliler *Sıfat tek heceli ise sonuna 'est'getirilir.Sıfattan önce 'the' kullanılır. Ex: short - the shortest tall - the tallest cold - the coldest small - the smallest cheap - the cheapest young - the youngest dark - the darkest long - the longest poor - the poorest slow - the slowest

2 Ex: 1-Jenny is the tallest girl in class (jenny (sinıfının en uzun boylu kızıdır) 2- Erzurum is the coldest city in Turkey (Türkiye' deki en soğuk şehir Erzurumdur.) 3- Kızılırmak is the longest river in Turkey (Türkiye' nin en uzun ırmağı Kızılırmağıdır.) *Sıfat tek heceli ve son üç harfi sessiz- sesli- sessiz ile bitiyorsa ; son harf "çift" yazılır. Sıfattan önce "the" kullanılır. Ex= wet the wettest fat the fattest thin- the thintest big- the biggest hot- the hottest slim- the slimmest Note:Ancak son harfleri 'w,x,y,z'ile bitanlerde son harf çift yazılmaz.Sıfattan önce 'the'kullanılır.
