4 PROJENİN AMACI UYAP Yargıtay Bilgi Sistemi (UYAP) ile Yargıtay'daki yargılama faaliyetlerinin daha etkin ve verimli bir şekilde yürütülmesi, iş süreçlerinin hızlandırılması, şeffaf ve etkin mahkeme yönetimi ve elektronik arşivin oluşturulması hedeflenmiştir. AIM OF THE PROJECT It is aimed with UYAP Supreme Court Information System (UYAP) that carring out judicial activities more effectively and efficiently, accelerating business processes and creation of electronic archives.

Dava ve diğer yargılama işlemlerinin elektronik ortamda gerçekleştirildiği hâllerde UYAP kullanılarak veriler kaydedilir ve saklanır LEGAL ARRANGEMENT No. 6100 CIVIL PROCEDURE LAW  ELEKTRONIC TRANSACTIONS  Artical 445-.1) National Judiciary Network System(UYAP), information system created for the execution of justice services in the electronic environment. The case and other trial procedures where carried out in electronical environment by using UYAP data is recorded and stored

Bu Kanun kapsamında fizikî olarak hazırlanması öngörülen tutanak ve belgeler güvenli elektronik imzayla elektronik ortamda hazırlanabilir ve gönderilebilir.  ……………. 34 ULUSLAR ARASI ÖDÜLLER UYAP SMS BİLGİ SİSTEMİ AVRUPA E- DEVLET ÖDÜLLERİNDE BİRİNCİLİK ÖDÜLÜNÜ ALDI İsveç'in Malmö şehrinde 20 Kasım 2009 tarihinde yapılan Avrupa e-Devlet Ödüllerinde toplam 31 devlete ait 259 proje arasından İdari Etkinliği ve Etkililiği Artıran e- Devlet Uygulamaları kategorisinde UYAP Projesi finalist olmuş, vatandaşlara Yönelik e- Devlet Uygulamaları kategorisinde UYAP SMS Bilgi Sistemi Birincilik ödülünü kazanmıştır. INTERNATIONAL AWARDS UYAP SMS INFORMATION SYSTEM HAS RECEIVED THE FIRST PRIZE OF EUROPEAN E-STATE AWARD In Swedish city of Malmo the European e- Government Awards on 20 November 2009 through total of 259 projects from 31 state- owned in the category of Enhancing Administrative Efficiency and Effectiveness of e-Government Applications UYAP became a finalist, and UYAP SMS Information System gained a first prize in the category of e- government applications for citizens.

41 WHAT IS SMS INFORMATION SYSTEM ? The SMS judicial information system provides an outstanding service for the citizens and lawyers which enables them to receive SMS messages containing legal information such as ongoing cases, dates of court hearings, the last change in the case and suits or dept claims against them. Therefore, they can be instantly informed by SMS about any kind of legal event related to them without going to courts. A cooperation agreement has been signed with the GSM operators in order to establish this system that makes it possible to send SMS to the concerning parties � mobile phones. This system aims to automatically inform all related parties of cases when any legal event, data or announcement (which has to be sent parties) realized by the judicial units such as courts, public prosecutor offices and enforcement offices. Sending a SMS does not replace official notification as it provides information to the parties so that they can take necessary measures in time without delay in order to prevent loss of legal rights.
