3 ERA (European Research Area)   The need for more abundant and more mobile human resources.   ERA endorsed in – Lisbon European Council March 2000.   Mobility as an instrument for the transfer of scientific knowledge both at national and European level.   Making Europe more attractive for researchers.

4 ERA (European Research Area) GOAL FOR YEAR 2010   Europe as the most competitive and dynamic information society of the world.   FP6 has been designed as a medium to implement Lisbon strategies.

5 MOBILITY OF RESEARCHERS   ERA-MORE (European Research Area - MObile REsearcher)   Creation of mobility centers in 33 countries   Provide support and help to researchers before and after mobility process on Administrative and legal issues ( visas, work and residence permits, social security rights, health services, and etc.) Social and cultural issues: accommodation, language courses, adaptation to new country, education for children
