Dream of the Poet Figani and its Misinterpretationby Karabalizade from Aşık Çelebi’s Meşairü’ş Şu‘ara’ (c.1568) “Tonight, I saw that a minaret was built on the Port. A minaret which was as high as the favor from the statesmen and which resembled the smoke from the sights of the lovers… They offered and I climbed up. I called for the prayer on that minaret. But such a great fear overtook me that I gave up my life.   Bu gice gördüm ki iskelede bir mināre yapılmış, himmet-i aṣḥāb-ı devlet gibi bülend ve dūd-ı āh-ı ʿāşıḳmānend.
