2 Possesive Pronouns İyelik zamirleri, cümlede iyelik sıfatı ile beraber kullanılan ismin yerine geçer. En dikkat çekici özelliği cümlede hem sıfatın hem de ismin kaldırılıp “ iyelik zamirinin ” yazılmasıdır.Cümle içerisinde zamir olarak kullanılsa da aitlik, sahiplik, anlamı verir. Yani Türkçe'deki '' benimki, seninki, onunki, bizimki, sizinki, onlarınki '' anlamını katar.Cümlenin başında ya da sonunda yer alabilir. Örnek / Example :  This is my car. ( Bu, benim arabam. )             This is mine.  ( Bu, benimkidir. ) This is your bike. ( Bu, senin bisikletin. )         This is yours. ( Bu, seninkidir. ) This bag isn’t her bag.                                    This isn't hers. ( Bu, onunki değildir. ) ( Bu çanta onun çantası değil. )

I think these gloves are yours. (sanırım bu eldivenler seninkiler.) This suitcase is his. (Bu valiz onunki.) That bag is hers. (Şu çanta onunki.) This leash is its. (Bu tasma onunki.) That house is ours. (Şu ev bizimki.) Is this car yours? (bu araba seninki mi?) I don’t like our house but I like theirs. (Bizim evimizi pek sevmiyorum ama onlarınkini seviyorum. )

6 Possesive prononuns ve Possesive adjectives arasındaki farkı tekrar hatırlayalım.
This is Jane’s book. This is her book. (possessive adjective her) This book is Jane’s. This book is hers.(possessive pronoun hers)

7 I love Jane. (Ben Jane’i seviyorum.)
(I = subject pronoun) Jane loves me. (Jane beni seviyor.) (me = object pronoun) Mrs. Wayne is my mother. (Bayan Wayne benim annemdir.) (my = possessive adjective) That table is mine. (Şu masa benimki.)

8 A: Is that my pen? (Şu benim kalemim mi?)
B: No, I think it is mine. (Hayır, sanırım o benimki.) I know him, but I can’t remember his name. (Onu tanıyorum ama onun ismini hatırlayamıyorum.)

9 I quite like our house but yours is nicer.
(Bizim evimizi oldukça severim ama sizinki daha güzel.) This car isn’t mine. My parents lend it to me sometimes but it is theirs. (Bu araba benimki değil. Benim ebeveynlerim bazen onu bana verir ama o (araba) onlarındır.)

10 Fill in the blanks with possessive pronouns.

14 Choose the right word. It is their/theirs problem, not our/ours. This is a nice camera. Is it your/yours? That is not my/mine umbrella. My/mine is black. Whose books are these?Your/yours or my/mine? Catherine is going out with her/hers friends. My/mine room is bigger than her/hers. They have two children, but I don’t know their/theirs names. Can we use your/ yours washing machine? Our/ours isn’t working.
